One World Observatory tickets

One World Observatory Ticket

About this experience

One World Observatory sits on floors 100, 101 and 102 of One World Trade Center, the 1,776-foot tower next to the Memorial. You go through security, ride the Sky Pod elevator with a video on the walls, and step out to views across Manhattan, Brooklyn, New Jersey and the harbor.

This listing is run by Legends, the company that operates the Observatory. You choose a Standard ticket or a Combo, which adds priority lanes for security, entry and the exit elevator, a digital skyline guide and a food-and-drink credit. The Viator price starts at $30.49; the Observatory's own site lists standard admission from $39 plus a fee.

At 4.3 stars it rates lower than anything else on this site. Complaints include a closed bar, a confusing Combo credit, long lines and a guest whose Viator ticket had to be redeemed before the scanners took it. Others rate the view highly, as long as the weather plays along. The Observatory's visit page lists daily hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Floors 100 to 102 of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere
  • The Sky Pod elevator ride with its video
  • Indoor observation floors, so no wind on the deck
  • Open daily, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

What guests say

★★★★★

Wonderful! This place is beautiful and really well done. This was the only observatory we did so I don’t have much to compare it to. We went at 6:30pm so got to experience the views right as the sun was setting. I would highly recommend this!

We went first thing in the morning and there was no crowd. Being entirely inside, unlike Empire State Bldg or the Edge, there was no wind and the view was less scary

A great experience - well worth the ticket cost and a fantastic way to see the city from multiple angles! I would possibly book closer to the day you intend to visit [...] Waiting to book (the day before) meant I was able to check the weather was going to be ok and there were a range of times available throughout the day.

Do it at night! So special and beautiful to see everything lit up & wasn’t so busy. Being indoors as well, it wasn’t as scary as other buildings!

Tips before you book

  • For sunset, the Observatory recommends a ticket at least one hour before the sun goes down.
  • Bags must be under 25 x 17 x 9 inches, and there are no lockers. Leave suitcases at the hotel.
  • If the scanner doesn't take your Viator voucher, ask staff to redeem it at the ticket desk first.
  • First slot of the morning is the quietest, according to several guests.
